Vehicles in Germany's City Discovered Marked with Swastikas in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities mentioned they were contacted by a resident who noticed a automobile in Hanau smeared with reddish substance

Roughly 50 automobiles have been smeared with what seems to be blood from a person in the German municipality of Hanau near Frankfurt, according to authorities.

Automobiles, walls and postboxes were marked, occasionally with Nazi symbols, they announced in a release.

Law enforcement report they were alerted late on Wednesday night, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been smeared with a reddish liquid.

The liquid had been applied in the form of a swastika, they added.

Law enforcement then located numerous other smeared cars and residential walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Swastikas are banned in Germany under legislation prohibiting the public display of Nazi symbols.

Officials state initial examinations show the substance was likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; authorities are not yet informed of any harm in connection with the event," they added.

Municipal representatives announced they were trying "to unravel the incident" and have asked to the residents for tips.

A senior representative said the attack made him without words and had to be resolved rapidly.

"This act hits the very heart of Hanau and revives the wounds of the right-wing violent incident in 2020," he wrote on a platform, recalling the killing of nine individuals by a assailant focusing on individuals of foreign heritage in 2020.
